The Primary Colors

The First Color Test

In my first article on Primary Colors, yellow, blue, and red, represented our personalities. They equal your Motivators—what gets you up and going in the morning.

The Secondary Colors

The Second Color Test

My second article on Secondary Colors, green, purple, and orange, represented our relationships. They create the bonds with the world around you.

The Third and Final Color Test

The Achromatic Colors are Black, White and Brown. They fall Into the Achromatic Category because they are not in the Chromatic Spectrum. They represent your hopes and fears. They are the glue that holds you together. These pure achromatic hues bring you back to your time of innocence. They cleanse your mind to see new options.

Take the Achromatic Color test

For this color test, discard your personal color knowledge and preferences. This is not about what you love to wear or decorate with. This is what your eyes go to without thinking. Close your eyes, and let your brain rest for a moment. Open your eyes and look at the three colors below. Which color did you see first?

The Achromatic Colors Black, White, and Brown. Which color did you see first?

Your results

Black

If your eye goes to Black it means Feel it! Black is darkness without light.  You are turned inward to define what you need. Black gives you the courage to know your emotions.  You are Emotional-Focused and Loyal. Your power is to know your emotions. Your motivations are to understand your past.

You know the value each person brings to a relationship. Others see you as impetuous, forceful and self-protective. You feel both your pleasant and painful experiences. But you do not obsess over them. You take people and events too seriously, which makes it hard to be objective.

White

If your eye goes to White it means See it! White is light itself. You tend to be Objective-curious and Analytical. You give the gift of Knowledge. Your suggestions make others slow down and consider all the options.

Your power is to see new options and your motivation is to create a new future. You desire to better evaluate all the things so you can connect them to our goals. You tend to avoid getting close to people. You immerse yourself in new schemes and overload yourself with information.  You tend to be known as an info junkie!

Brown

If your eye goes to Brown it means to Realize it! Brown allows you to accept things the way they are right now.  They ask that you live in the moment.  Use these shades to create awareness of what you want.  You will be more authentic to yourself and those around you.

You are Aware – Authentic and Compassionate. Your power is to understand reality.  Your motivation is to experience the sensations of life. You immerse yourself in understanding the natural process of life. You are very down to earth. You get to really know a person before you judge them. You embrace life, people and things as they are.  You live in the moment and appreciate the pleasures of life.

Some final thoughts

The Achromatic Colors complete you. They display your reaction when pressure is forcing you to change.  You will see what you treasure most about yourself.  As well as your greatest flaws.

Your Favorite Achromatic Color, is the core of your rationally directing change.  You are trying to make sure your inner self is getting what it needs most.

Your least Favorite Achromatic Color, shows what deep routed concerns inhibit the pursuit of your passions. It is your making sure that your inner self is confronting your greatest dilemmas.
